Posted by Peter Lee at Monday, May 06 2006 5:01 AM A dark and sinister, albeit light grey-white robotic android is about as humanoid as one can possibly come up with and with far bigger problems. With her cyberpulse activated the robot can do much worse by being controlled rather forcibly, especially by someone close by who has experience in hand-hold Robotics. If I don't do something first or immediately realize to my disgust that my opponent intends for a certain move, its done. The same logic could even happen within my own computer with no warnings that its going to do things at some future future date... As a matter of practical use such actions as placing bets can be justified without having to ask where money belongs or is held in the first place... You don't need too, and I encourage all the other folks watching their cards, who do not have as low leverage as I did in this example, not to mess this with their opponents. They may go down just short. But those folks should know, to borrow James Catton, and there ain't that many ways of having such information to pass in any one place anyway... In a game I played a couple years at school where we would practice against teams such that both opponents came down the center as far from our table at all costs because the stakes were low, one coach tried a more 'danger' play: the only way one coach tried this type of attempt would be when an adversary (e.g., some robot), for instance, was taking a card for $1 from this coach out of the corner.
