The new batch of U.N. sanctions were published Friday along with "an official delegation from the International Committee for the Red Cross to attend an event on prevention and control with government investigators or officials at the site on March 23, 2014." The sanctions state an athlete in such circumstances has engaged in wrongdoing or acts in conflict with "appropriate Russian governmental law... the relevant law governing events taking place with facilities accessible directly from the track area, or facilities using any facility as a meeting site; or in situations that can occur in other sports stadiums with any of the potential risk that can come to events on U.N. installations." Further restrictions on "engagements, acts and events... taken" were to be addressed at subsequent Olympic committee summit sessions, or during future "confession days," according to UN and sports associations as reported by Business Insider last month.
